Operations Manager

We’re looking for an experienced Nursery Manager to take charge of day-to-day operations at a well-established nursery. This role suits someone with strong horticulture knowledge, proven leadership skills, and the ability to keep operations running smoothly while delivering great customer service.

Location: Coatesville, Auckland
Pay rate: $70,000–$80,000 annually (paid weekly)
About the role
In this hands-on position, you’ll be responsible for managing staff, overseeing nursery operations, and ensuring high standards across the yard and deliveries. You’ll work closely with stakeholders and report to a trustee based in Auckland.
Key duties include:

• Managing day-to-day nursery yard operations and deliveries
• Leading and supervising staff
• Providing excellent customer service
• Overseeing basic budgeting and financial management
• Completing reporting requirements
• Using computer systems for admin and operational tasks

What we’re looking for:

• Previous nursery management experience
• Strong horticulture background
• Experience handling pesticides
• Current spray certificate
• Full Class 2 licence
• Confident people management and communication skills
