Landscaper

Landscaper – Dunedin Central
We’re looking for an experienced Landscaper to assist with grounds maintenance work in Dunedin Central. You’ll be working across a range of outdoor tasks on university property — a hands-on, physical role ideal for someone who enjoys being outside and getting stuck in.

Day-to-day duties include:

• Mowing and edging lawns using power tools
• Pruning, trimming, weeding, and general garden maintenance
• Planting trees, shrubs, flowers, and laying mulch
• Spraying or spreading fertilisers, herbicides, and insecticides
• Installing support wires, garden decorations, and irrigation systems
• Assisting with minor construction tasks such as mixing and pouring cement
• Using hand and power tools for general property upkeep
• Other outdoor tasks including de-icing, power washing, and bin clearing

To be successful in this role, you’ll need:

• Previous landscaping or grounds maintenance experience
• A willingness to work outdoors in all weather
• To complete a University of Otago induction (provided by us)
