Forklift Operator

We’re on the lookout for a reliable forklift operator to support a short-term project at OceanaGold’s Core Shed in Macraes. You’ll be working Monday to Friday during daytime hours, handling rock core pallets and assisting with shed cleanup tasks. This is a great opportunity for someone physically fit and ready to get stuck in — forklift experience required

Location: Macraes, Dunedin
Start date: Tuesday, 4th November 2025 (induction upon arrival)
Pay rate: $28 per hour (paid weekly)

Your day-to-day tasks will include:

• Relocating rock core pallets
• Extracting rock cores from container trays
• Stockpiling rock cores for future crushing
• Disposing of empty container trays
• Dismantling shelving in the core shed

You’ll need to have:

• A current forklift licence
• Good physical fitness for manual work
• Reliable transport to meet OGL bus that takes you to site and back to Dunedin.
• Previous pallet handling or warehousing experience (helpful but not required)
