Electrical Trade Assistant
We’re on the lookout for an experienced Electrical Trade Assistant to support electricians on residential and commercial projects across the Waikato. This role is perfect for someone who’s confident working on varied sites and ready to hit the ground running.
Location: Hamilton and Cambridge
Start date: Immediate start available
Pay rate: $25–28 per hour (paid weekly)

Pay rate: $25–28 per hour (paid weekly)
You’ll be responsible for:
- Assisting electricians with installing, testing, and maintaining electrical wiring, fixtures, and control systems
- Preparing tools, materials, and equipment for electrical jobs
- Pulling cables, connecting wiring, and mounting electrical components
- Helping diagnose electrical issues and performing basic troubleshooting
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment at all times
- Following safety procedures and electrical codes
- Loading, unloading, and organising materials at job sites
- Supporting in documenting work performed and materials used
- At least one year of relevant electrical experience
- Full class 1 licence
- A Limited EWRB licence (beneficial but not essential)
- Strong understanding of site safety and general electrical practices
- A reliable, can-do attitude and the ability to work under direction
