We are currently looking for an experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team. If you are an exceptional leader with a strong understanding of the New Zealand Electrical Code and a passion for driving safety and quality standards, we want to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities: As an Electrical Supervisor, you will be responsible for the below:
  • Project Management: Manage the scheduling, resourcing, and coordination of electrical projects, ensuring deadlines and budgets are adhered to. You will be the key point of contact between clients and the on-site team.
  • Compliance & Standards: Ensure all work complies with the New Zealand Electrical Code and relevant legislation. Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure all electrical systems are installed and maintained to the highest standards.
  • Safety Oversight: Promote a culture of safety on-site by enforcing safety protocols, conducting risk assessments, and providing ongoing safety training to the team. Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations to maintain a zero-harm workplace.
  • Problem Solving: Resolve any electrical issues that arise on-site and provide technical support to the team. You will troubleshoot and offer solutions to ensure projects remain on track.
  • Client Liaison: Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded. Communicate effectively to provide progress updates and resolve any concerns in a timely manner.
  • Documentation & Reporting: Keep accurate records of work completed, materials used, and time spent on projects. Provide detailed reports to senior management and clients as required.
Skills & Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should possess the following:
  • Electrical Qualifications: A fully qualified electrician with a current practising license.
  • Extensive Experience: At least 5+ years of experience as an electrician, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role, ideally in the commercial, industrial, or residential sectors.
  • Knowledge of the New Zealand Electrical Code: In-depth understanding and experience in applying the New Zealand Electrical Code and related regulations.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven experience in managing and motivating teams, with the ability to foster a positive and productive work environment.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical ability in electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Health and Safety Focus: A solid understanding of workplace safety regulations and the ability to implement and enforce safety procedures.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, team members, and management.
  • Project Management Skills: Experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Driver’s License: A full, clean driver’s license is required.
Desirable:
  • Trade/Project Management Qualification: An added advantage but not essential.
  • First Aid Certification: Highly desirable.
  • Experience with CAD or other design software is a plus.
