Are you an Electrical Trade Assistant who enjoys hands-on work, learning from qualified sparkies, and being part of a solid crew on site? We’re looking for a reliable and motivated Electrical Trade Assistant to join a busy team working on projects in Taupō.
This is a great opportunity for someone who has electrical site experience and wants consistent work, good hours, and the chance to build their skills in the trade.

The Role You’ll be supporting qualified electricians on a range of electrical installation and maintenance work. Duties may include:
- Assisting electricians on commercial and residential sites
- Running and pulling cables
- Assisting with cable tray, conduit, and ducting installs
- Installing and securing brackets, clips, and fixings
- Assisting with switchboard prep and fit-out
- Basic tool work, drilling, and mounting equipment
- Keeping the work area tidy and safe
- Following instructions and working efficiently as part of a team
- Previous experience as an Electrical TA (preferred)
- Confidence using hand and power tools
- A good work ethic and willingness to learn
- Strong health & safety awareness
- Ability to work well in a team and take direction
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Site experience (construction / commercial preferred)
- Own transport to get to site
- Ability to pass a Drug & Alcohol test
- EWP, Working at Heights, or Site Safe tickets are an advantage (but not essential)
- Competitive hourly rate based on experience
