Drainage Labourer - Waikato
We’re looking for proactive and reliable Drainage Labourers to join a skilled team working on a variety of projects across the Waikato Region.
This is a great opportunity to gain experience alongside qualified tradespeople and work on meaningful infrastructure.
What You’ll Be Doing: This is a physically active role where you’ll be helping with:
- Preparing worksites for drainage and sewer installation
- Installing, repairing, and maintaining pipes, pits, culverts, and drainage structures
- Cleaning, inspecting and performing minor repairs on stormwater and sewerage systems
- Operating tools and equipment (under supervision)
- Assisting with trench digging, pipe laying, and backfilling
- Spotting for machinery and ensuring safe operation zones
- Performing general site clean-up and material handling
- Following safety procedures and wearing PPE at all times
What We’re Looking For: We’re after dependable team players with a solid work ethic and can-do attitude. Ideally, you’ll have:
- At least 1 years’ experience as drainage labourer in New Zealand assisting on-site in a trade or construction setting
- Good physical fitness and a willingness to work in varied conditions
- A strong focus on health and safety
- A current driver’s licence and reliable transport (preferred)
- 2 recent work references
- The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
