Directional Driller

Our client is looking for experienced drillers to join their civil construction team in the Waikato. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be operating machinery and supporting key projects across Hamilton and the wider region.

About the role:
As a Driller, you’ll be involved in underground thrusting, horizontal drilling, trenching and site preparation. You’ll be working with modern equipment and technology to get the job done safely and to a high standard. This role is suited to someone who’s fit, motivated, and able to handle a mix of machinery operation and manual work in all conditions.

What you’ll be doing:

• Operating drilling and trenching machinery
• Carrying out horizontal drilling and underground thrusting
• Assisting with general labouring on-site
• Leading or supporting drill crews to meet deadlines
• Working safely in a variety of outdoor conditions

What we’re looking for:

• Proven experience in drilling or a similar role
• Strong leadership skills and the ability to run a crew
• A good understanding of safety protocols
• Full NZ Driver’s Licence (WT endorsement preferred)
• Physically fit and reliable
• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
• NZ residency or valid work visa
