What you’ll be doing:
You’ll be working on a wide variety of projects where your technical skills and precision will be valued. Your responsibilities may include (but not limited to):
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Operating CNC and manual machines including lathes, mills, grinders and drill presses
- Setting up and maintaining machining tools and equipment
- Assembling metal components, checking accuracy and tolerances with precision instruments
- Diagnosing faults and performing basic maintenance on machinery
- Working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
- (And in some cases) assisting with installation and setup on-site
- Minimum 3+ years’ CNC machining experience
- Trade qualification preferred (but not essential if you have the right experience)
- Your own tools and reliable transport
- Strong commitment to health and safety
- 2 solid work references
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Class 1 licence is a bonus, but not a dealbreaker
- Top hourly rates – starting from $30–$40 per hour, depending on experience
- Guaranteed 30+ hours per week
