Class 5 Truck & Trailer Freight Haul Driver

We’re on the lookout for an experienced Class 5 Truck & Trailer Driver to join our team based in Morrinsville. If you’re confident behind the wheel, take pride in your work, and know how to handle a truck & trailer unit safely and efficiently, we want to hear from you.

Location: Morrinsville, Waikato
Start date: Immediate start available
Pay rate: $32–$35 per hour (paid weekly)

About the role:
In this role, you’ll be responsible for transporting freight safely and efficiently while maintaining high standards of compliance and presentation.

Your day-to-day will include:

• Operating a Class 5 truck & trailer unit safely and efficiently
• Transporting freight locally, regionally, or nationwide
• Completing line haul or metro deliveries as scheduled
• Reversing and manoeuvring truck & trailer units in tight spaces
• Coupling and uncoupling trailers correctly
• Loading and unloading freight where required
• Securing loads using chains, straps, binders, and curtainsiders
• Ensuring correct weight distribution for safe transport
• Completing PODs, manifests, and delivery documentation
• Conducting daily pre-start checks (tyres, lights, brakes, fluids)
• Reporting mechanical faults promptly
• Keeping the truck clean and presentable
• Complying with NZTA regulations, logbook requirements, RUC, weight limits, and Health & Safety standards

What We’re Looking For

• Full Class 5 NZ Licence
• Proven experience operating truck & trailer units
• Clean driving record
• Strong understanding of safe load restraint and transport compliance
