We are seeking a skilled Auto Electrician to join a busy and professional team in Hawke’s Bay.
This is a great opportunity to work across a variety of vehicles and electronic systems while growing your expertise with modern automotive technology.
Location: Hawke’s Bay

Pay rate: $35–$45 per hour (paid weekly)
In this role, you will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, and repairing complex electrical and electronic systems in a range of vehicles.

In this role, you will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, and repairing complex electrical and electronic systems in a range of vehicles.
You’ll be working in a supportive environment with consistent workflow and ongoing opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical and electronic faults
- Installing and repairing wiring, lighting, ignition, and fuel injection systems
- Working on computer-controlled systems including ABS, air conditioning, and security systems
- Using specialised diagnostic scan tools to identify and resolve issues
- Reading and interpreting circuit diagrams
- Performing safety inspections and system testing
- Keeping up to date with evolving vehicle technology
- Relevant trade qualification (NZ Certificate in Automotive Electrical Engineering or equivalent)
- Proven experience diagnosing modern vehicle electrical systems
- Strong experience using diagnostic scan tools
- Full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- $35–$45 per hour, paid weekly
