Traffic Signals Sparky/TA (NIGHT SHIFT)

Traffic Signals Technician/Electrician - NIGHT SHIFT Sun-Thursday 7pm-4am 

We’re looking for a motivated Traffic Signals Technician/Electrician to join our team working across the North Shore. This is a night shift role suited to a qualified Electrician or a capable Trade Assistant who is keen to learn and develop in traffic signalling.

Location: North Shore, Auckland
Pay rate: $33–$35 per hour (Technicians) | $36–$40 per hour (Electricians) – paid weekly

This hands-on role involves installation, maintenance, testing, and fault finding of electrical and traffic signal systems. You’ll be working on-site, ensuring systems are compliant, safe, and operating efficiently.
Key Responsibilities:

• Install, connect, test, and maintain electrical systems
• Manage on-site installation, repair, maintenance, and testing tasks
• Diagnose faults and determine appropriate solutions
• Produce detailed service and installation reports
• Complete electrical certifications and daily H&S documentation
• Ensure compliance with AS/NZS 3000:2007 Electrical Installations
• Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using appropriate testing devices
• Assist and mentor technicians where required
• Attend planning and hazard identification meetings

Key Requirements:

• Current NZ Electrical Registration & Practising Licence
• EWRB registration
• Full Class 1 driver’s licence
• Strong health & safety knowledge
• Ability to work independently and self-manage
• Traffic signal experience desirable but not essential – must be willing to learn
• Comfortable working night shift Sunday- Thursday (7:00pm–4:00am)
