Tractor Mower Operators – Waikato/Waipa
We’re after Tractor Mower Operators to join a Hamilton-based team for the upcoming grass-growing season.
The job
You’ll be operating tractors fitted with boom or reach mowers to keep roadside grass under control. The fleet includes Massey Ferguson, Iseki, SAME, Fendt, and John Deere tractors.
Experience with reach mowers, hedge cutters, sickle bars, mulching heads, or saw blades is helpful but not essential – full training is provided. The team also runs tractor-towed sweepers.
Alongside tractor work, you’ll pitch in with other vegetation control tasks like ride-on mowing, weed spraying, chainsaw use, chipper work, and general site clean-up. Fencing experience is a bonus.
Public-facing work
Some mowing and tidy-up work takes place in busier public or commercial areas, so you’ll need to be professional, polite, and safety-minded around the public. You’ll also deal directly with local farmers, keeping them updated on work progress and maintaining good relationships.
About the client
This is a family-owned Hamilton company that values safety, teamwork, and loyalty. You’ll be known by name, not number. The business also works across civil construction, vegetation control, arborist work, and traffic management – offering plenty of variety and chances to learn new skills.
Other work
Flexibility helps – at times you’ll lend a hand with other crews doing civil, landscaping, roadside maintenance, or even rubbish collection.
Team culture
You’ll join a solid, down-to-earth crew who value reliability, safety, and a good sense of humour. A positive, can-do attitude will make you a great fit here.
