Spray Painter

Are you a skilled spray painter eager to demonstrate your skills? Tradestaff is currently in search of a committed spray painter to work on a variety of projects, including painting steel frames, trusses, machinery and trucks for one of our esteemed clients in Hawkes Bay. This a long-term opportunity, with the potential for permanent employment for the right candidate.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as necessary
• Operate spray painting equipment efficiently and safely
• Apply paint evenly to achieved desired finish and coverage
• Perform quality checks to ensure products meet specifications
• Maintain a clean and organised work area

 
Requirements:

• Proven experience as a spray painter (minimum 1 year experience)
• Valid work visa (if applicable) and the right to work in New Zealand
• Minimum restricted license and your own transport is a MUST
• Ability to mix paints is highly desirable, but not essential
• High attention to detail and quality control
• Be willing to undergo and pass a preemployment drug test if necessary
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to follow instructions
