We’re looking for a reliable, hands-on labourer to join a crew working on a commercial construction project in Oamaru. This role includes a mix of general labouring and flooring-related tasks, so it’s ideal for someone with build site experience who’s physically fit, safety-conscious, and ready to get stuck in.
Location: Oamaru
Start date: Mid-October (approx. 1 month duration)
Pay rate: $25-$27 per hour

Pay rate: $25-$27 per hour
Why You’ll Want This Job:
- Weekly pay - Pay rate ranges due to experience
- Long-term project with consistent day shift hours
- Mostly indoor work – no weather delays
- PPE provided – supplied by Tradestaff, show up ready to go
- Monday to Friday, with optional Saturdays for extra hours
- Assisting with commercial flooring prep and installation
- Handling materials and setting up work areas
- Performing general labouring duties around site
- Carrying out physical tasks involving bending, lifting, and moving equipment
- Supporting tradespeople and following health and safety protocols
- Previous experience on build or construction sites
- Site Safe certification (or willingness to obtain – we can help)
- Basic tool handling skills
- Physically fit, reliable, and ready to work as part of a team
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test
