Shipping Coordinator

Are you a flexible and hands-on individual looking for an exciting permanent opportunity in the shipping industry? We are currently seeking a Shipping Coordinator to join our team. This role offers a competitive pay rate of $35 per hour, with a minimum of 40 hours per week.

Job Description:
As a Shipping Coordinator, you will be responsible for various tasks related to vessel discharge, directing units, and overseeing customer sites. This role involves some weekend work with rostered weekdays off either before or after, as well as occasional stay-away assignments. Stay-away work includes a $60 meal allowance.

Qualifications and Requirements:
- Flexibility and willingness to be hands-on
- Previous experience in truck driving is an advantage, but not a requirement
- Ability to travel to various locations, including Tauranga, Auckland, Marsden Point, New Plymouth, and the South Island
- Strong communication skills and ability to serve as a point of contact for drivers, boat delays, or road delays
- Experience in dispatch work is desirable

Duties Include:
- Overseeing vessel discharge operations
- Directing units and managing customer sites
- Traveling to different locations as required
- Serving as a point of contact for drivers and addressing any delays
- Dispatching tasks as needed
