Pressure Pipe Welder

Tradestaff are seeking an experienced and skilled TIG Welder specialising in pressure pipe work to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in TIG welding techniques and have a strong background in welding pressure pipes to the ASME IV standard.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform TIG welding of pressure pipes according to project specifications and ASME IV standards.
• MIG and Arc Welding will also be used.
• Interpret technical drawings and welding procedures to ensure precise execution of welds.
• Conduct quality inspections of welded joints to ensure they meet required standards and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering and fabrication teams to ensure seamless integration of welded components.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment and adhere to health & safety protocols at all times.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a TIG welder, proven experience in pressure pipe work.
• Proficiency in welding stainless steel, carbon steel, and other materials used in pressure pipe applications.
• Familiarity with ASME IV standards and a commitment to working towards compliance.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce high-quality welds with minimal defects.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Relevant welding certifications and qualifications preferred.

Successful applicants must:

• Pass a pre-employment drug test
• Have 2 ready work references
• Have your own vehicle with a restricted or full license

You may also be required to submit a criminal history check with the Ministry of Justice.

Please note that our work is mainly industrial and therefore for Health and Safety reasons you do need a good command of English.
