Automotive Panelbeater – Hamilton – Immediate Start
Pay Rate: $28–$32 per hour (depending on experience)
We’re looking for a qualified, experienced Automotive Panelbeater to join our busy, well-equipped workshop in Hamilton. What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be carrying out all core panelbeating duties, including:
- Work on a variety of vehicles including well loved classic cars
- Workshop with modern equipment including 3D measuring technology.
Removal & Prep
- Removing damaged parts and accessories
- Cutting out damaged sections
- Storing all parts safely and correctly
- Straightening frames and body structures to manufacturer specs
- Realigning and reshaping panels
- Hammering out dents
- Using correct welding techniques
- Reattaching parts and panels to a high standard
- Repairing rust to industry standards
- Applying appropriate fillers
- Grinding, sanding and reshaping panels
- Prepping surfaces for paint
- Fitting repaired or new parts
- Reinstalling accessories and completing jobs to spec
- Keeping workspace and tools clean, tidy and organised
What You’ll Bring
- Trade qualification in Automotive Panel Beating
- 2+ years’ experience in a panelbeating role
- Solid understanding of the automotive industry, metals, vehicle parts, and manufacturer/insurance repair procedures
- Your own hand tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication and listening skills
- Highly organised and able to multitask
