We are seeking reliable and hardworking Hammerhands to join our clients teams in Christchurch. We have a number of well-established construction firms that specialise in commercial and residential projects throughout Canterbury.

We're looking for people for a February start.

Responsibilities:
Assist tradespeople with their tasks, such as carrying materials, cutting timber, and installing fixtures
Use power tools and hand tools to complete tasks as instructed
Follow health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment
Clean and maintain tools and equipment
Complete other duties as assigned by the supervisor


Requirements:
Experience as a Hammerhand or similar role in the construction industry
Knowledge of power tools and hand tools commonly used in construction
Ability to read and interpret plans and diagrams
Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
A valid driver's license and reliable transportation is essential
Must have own basic tools
