Mechanical Fitter Location: PetoneAbout the role: We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for responding to breakdowns and addressing process issues to ensure the continued functionality of the treatment plant. You'll be working alongside operators, technicians, and engineers to maintain the treatment process, while identifying wear and tear and taking preventative actions to avoid equipment failures.
Key Responsibilities:- Responding to breakdowns and process issues, ensuring the treatment plant remains operational.
- Collaborating with team members to maintain equipment and improve processes.
- Monitoring for signs of wear and tear, addressing issues before they become major problems.
- Performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on water treatment equipment.
- Implementing preventative measures and conducting repairs to enhance equipment efficiency.
- Adhering to safety protocols and procedures when working with hazardous materials and equipment.
- Accurately documenting maintenance activities and reporting on equipment performance.
- Using basic computer skills to input data, manage maintenance schedules, and access equipment information.
- The role may require physical work, including lifting and working in various environments.
