Farm Hand / Skilled Labourer
Join a hardworking team on a Hamilton-based farm where no two days are the same. This hands-on role covers a mix of livestock care, machinery operation, and skilled labour – ideal for someone with farming experience and a strong work ethic.
Location: Hamilton
Start date: Immediate start available
Pay rate: $27–30 per hour (paid weekly)
Your day-to-day will include:
  • Feeding and caring for newborn calves, including colostrum delivery and meal feeding
  • Tube-feeding calves when required
  • Building, repairing, and maintaining fences and water systems
  • Weed control, pasture maintenance, and general cleaning
  • Operating tractors, utes, motorbikes, and other farm equipment
  • Performing basic machinery servicing and assisting with crop work
  • Record keeping and supporting wider farm duties
  • Constructing and repairing wooden, concrete, steel, and wallboard structures using hand and power tools
  • Following all farm policies for safety and environmental care
To be successful in this role, you’ll need:
  • A full Class 1 driver’s licence
  • Experience working with livestock
  • Confidence operating farm machinery
  • Physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in all conditions
  • The right to work in New Zealand – this is not a sponsored role
