We’re on the lookout for a registered Electrician to join our team in Havelock North.
This role offers a strong mix of solar farm, domestic, and industrial work, providing variety and the opportunity to apply your skills across multiple environments.

Location: Havelock North, Hawke’s Bay
Start date: Immediate start available
Pay rate: $38–$45 per hour (paid weekly)

About the role:
You’ll be working across solar installations, residential properties, and industrial sites, carrying out a broad range of electrical tasks. This is a hands-on role suited to a qualified professional who can work confidently and maintain high safety and compliance standards.
Key responsibilities:
  • Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances and fixtures
  • Diagnose and repair faults across solar farm systems, domestic properties and industrial environments
  • Connect wiring to circuit breakers, transformers and other components
  • Inspect electrical systems to identify hazards, defects and compliance requirements
  • Plan layouts and installations in line with job specifications and local codes
  • Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using appropriate testing equipment
  • Carry out commissioning and ensure system compatibility and safety
  • Direct and train other workers where required
  • Work from ladders, scaffolds and roofs when necessary
What we’re looking for:
  • Current NZ Electrical Registration & Practising Licence (EWRB)
  • Proven solar installation experience, including grid-connected systems, inverters and commissioning
  • Strong domestic experience (new builds, renovations, switchboards, fault finding)
  • Solid industrial experience (motors, control panels, machinery maintenance)
  • Full Class 1 driver’s licence
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and plans
  • Experience supervising or training other workers is advantageous
  • Own tools required
