Drainlayer/Plumber
We’re looking for a qualified Drainlayer/Plumber to take charge of drainage and water reticulation work across varied civil construction sites in Hawke’s Bay.
Installs, repairs, and maintains underground pipe systems for wastewater and stormwater, ensuring proper flow for homes, businesses, and developments, working with pipes, septic systems, and managing council compliance for crucial public health and environmental protection
This role offers a great mix of hands-on work and leadership responsibilities—
Location: Various sites across Hawke's Bay
Start date: 19th January 2026
Pay rate: $35 to $50 per hour depending on experience (paid weekly)

In this role, you’ll be responsible for:
- Drainage and water reticulation set-out and installation
- Leading and managing a drainage team on-site
- Operating machinery (excavators, trucks, rollers, etc.)
- Coordinating with contractors and other workers
- Running site works to meet project deadlines
- Completing app-based health and safety documentation
- Following all health, safety, and company policies
- Minimum 5 years’ drainage experience
- Drainlaying qualification or extensive experience
- Class 1 licence (or higher)
- WTR endorsement
- Excavator and civil construction machinery experience
- General civil construction background
- Physically fit, reliable, and hardworking
- 40+ hours per week
