Dogman - $28-$32 per hour
Tradestaff are seeking an experienced Dogman for an immediate start!
Requirements:- NZQA 30072 & 3789 (Necessary Qualification) or International Equivalent.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Dogman in construction or heavy lifting operations.
- Familiarity with various lifting techniques, signals, and equipment used in rigging and crane operations.
- Ability to interpret lifting plans, drawings, and specifications.
- Physically fit and capable of lifting and moving heavy loads.
- Strong commitment to safety protocols and procedures.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Responsibilities:- Assisting crane operators in lifting and positioning loads safely and efficiently.
- Using hand signals and communication devices to coordinate crane movements.
- Rigging and attaching loads to cranes using appropriate slings, chains, and hooks.
- Conducting pre-operational checks on lifting equipment and ensuring they are in safe working condition.
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area, adhering to site safety regulations.
- Monitoring and adjusting loads during lifting operations to ensure stability and safety.
- Providing assistance in the assembly and disassembly of cranes and rigging equipment.
- Participating in toolbox talks and safety meetings to promote a safe working environment.
- Reporting any incidents, near misses, or hazards to supervisors promptly.
- Contributing to the efficient and timely completion of construction projects by performing tasks as required.
