Directional Driller
We’re looking for an experienced Directional Driller to join a hardworking crew based in Takanini, South Auckland.
This is a hands-on civil role for someone confident operating drill rigs, reading ground conditions, and working safely around underground services.
A Class 2 manual licence is essential.
Location: Takanini, Auckland
Start date: Immediate start available
Pay rate: $35–$45 per hour (paid weekly)
About the role You’ll be carrying out directional drilling works across civil sites, supporting the team to deliver safe and accurate installs in line with project requirements.

- Planning drill paths while identifying and avoiding underground services
- Operating directional drill rigs safely and efficiently
- Monitoring bore paths using locating equipment
- Pulling in pipe, conduit, or cable
- Carrying out routine maintenance and checks on drilling equipment
- Completing site documentation and daily paperwork accurately
- Proven experience operating directional drill rigs
- WTR endorsement
- Full NZ Class 2 manual licence (must be confident driving manual vehicles)
- Strong understanding of ground conditions and service avoidance
- Safety-focused with strong attention to detail
- Able to work well within a team and follow site procedures
- Weekly pay
