Construction Supervisor – Major Solar Project (East Waikato)
Pay Rate: $37–$40 per hour (depending on experience)
Immediate Start – 2–3 Month Assignment
Tradestaff is seeking a strong leader to step into a Construction Supervisor role on a major solar project in the East Waikato. This is a temporary role for 2–3 months with an immediate start. You’ll need to be confident leading crews, keeping work on track to tight deadlines, and rolling up your sleeves to get on the tools when needed.
This isn’t a desk job – it’s about leading from the front, motivating your team, solving problems quickly, and keeping the project moving safely and efficiently.
About the Project & Our Client You’ll be working with a well-established, wholly NZ-owned civil construction business that has been delivering major infrastructure projects for over 15 years. They specialise in underground utilities installation for power, gas, water, and fibre, using both trenching and advanced Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) technology.
With some of the best equipment in the country, including one of New Zealand’s largest directional drilling units, they’re trusted to deliver high-quality work on time and on budget. Their culture is built on teamwork, continuous training, and high standards — and they back their people with the tools, support, and development to succeed.
This solar project is a large-scale, time-critical build where your leadership will make the difference in getting the job delivered safely, efficiently, and to spec.
