Dispatcher - Construction

Our client, a construction supplier based in Wanaka, is on the hunt for an assistant dispatcher, batcher & yardperson.

This isn’t a normal, cozy office role. Part of the time you will be scheduling jobs, coordinating deliveries and answering phones, but you’ll also be expected to jump out of your office chair and into the yard to prepare building materials for delivery.

• There can be manual labour elements and you’ll need to be comfortable around trucks and happy being outside rain or shine while conducting yourself safely at all times.
• There is a lot to learn with this role & it isn't for the faint of heart- it can be a fast moving job with different needs from our customers, sites & internally. Something to really sink your teeth into!
• The ability to be organised while thinking on your feet, to multi-task while managing your time effectively and to work well under pressure is essential.
• You’ll need a good telephone manner and to be computer savvy (proficiency in Excel is preferred).
• NZ drivers licence is a must, as is a pre-emplyment drug & alcohol screen

The shifts will include one Saturday a month and will be around 30 hours a week on a casual contract with Tradestaff.
