Hiring CNC Wood Machinist – Join Our Team!
We’re looking for a skilled CNC Machinist with experience in wood machining to join our dynamic team at a leading timber and wood products facility. Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate CNC routers and machinery specifically designed for woodworking
  • Set up, program, and adjust machines to cut, shape, and finish timber components to exact specifications
  • Monitor operations to ensure precision and consistency with wood-specific tolerances
  • Inspect wooden parts for accuracy, finish quality, and structural integrity, making adjustments as needed
  • Troubleshoot and resolve machine or material issues quickly and effectively
  • Collaborate with design, engineering, and production teams to ensure smooth workflows
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized workspace
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a CNC Machinist, ideally in a woodworking or timber manufacturing environment
  • Proficient in CNC programming and operating wood-specific machinery (e.g. routers, panel saws)
  • Strong understanding of wood machining techniques, grain direction, feed speeds, and finishing requirements
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, cutting lists, and material specifications
  • High attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving mindset
  • Good communication skills and a strong team player
  • High school diploma or equivalent; CNC certification preferred
  • Must be a NZ resident or Citizen
