About the Role:As a Drainlayer, you’ll play a key role in delivering high-quality drainage services for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. From installing and repairing drainage systems to managing complex site requirements, your expertise will be essential in ensuring that all work is completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install & Maintain Drainage Systems: Install and maintain stormwater, wastewater, and stormwater drainage systems for new builds and renovation projects.
- Excavation & Digging: Operate various-sized diggers and excavation equipment to dig trenches and install drainage systems.
- Assess & Repair: Diagnose and repair drainage issues, including blockages, leaks, and damage to existing systems.
- Compliance: Ensure all work meets regulatory and health and safety standards.
- Team Collaboration: Work effectively within a team to meet project timelines and deliver high-quality results.
- Qualification: Fully qualified and registered drainlayer (NZ) with current practicing license.
- Experience: Proven experience in drainlaying, including installation, maintenance, and repair of drainage systems.
- Licensing: Ideally, you’ll have a Class 2 Driver’s License with WTR endorsements (wheels, tracks, and rollers).
- Digging Expertise: Experience in operating various-sized diggers and other machinery used in drainage projects.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of drainage systems, tools, and best practices.
- Work Ethic: Strong commitment to safety, high-quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction.
