APPLY NOW Tradestaff have a variety of cabinetmaking jobs across Hawke's Bay.
Tradestaff are looking for experienced cabinetmakers that have background knowledge with the following (but are not limited to);- examining drawings, work orders and sample parts to determine specifications
- selecting and working with materials such as timber, veneers, particle board and synthetic wood
- preparing layouts, marking out, cutting and shaping wood,
- working from drawings and specifications to make furniture
- making fittings for boats, caravans and other items where fine detail is required
- assembling parts to form sections of furniture and fittings ready to install
- fitting hinges, locks, catches, drawers and shelves
- making frames for chairs and couches
- repairing and refurbishing furniture and/or antiques
- operating woodworking and workshop machinery safely
Ideally, you will be or have: - Minimum 3+ years’ experience
- High level of accuracy/attention to detail
- Trade qualifications preferred however scope and length of experience may substitute for the formal qualification
- Your own tools
- Own reliable transport
- At least 2 work references
- 100% commitment to Health & Safety
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Class 1 preferred but not essential
