Boilermaker / Welder-Fabricator

Auckland-Based | $30–$40 per hour

We are currently seeking experienced Boilermakers / Welder-Fabricators to join a busy Auckland-based operation. Multiple positions are available, offering long-term, stable work for skilled tradespeople with strong fabrication and welding capability.

This role is well-suited to tradespeople experienced in plate work and tank fabrication, working across a range of industrial projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Welding and fabricating steel plate components, including tanks and vessels

• MIG and/or flux-cored welding on plate steel (experience with TIG and stainless steel an advantage)
• Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
• Cutting, shaping, assembling, and welding plate steel
• Working with mild steel, aluminium, and stainless steel (advantageous)
• Assisting with fabrication projects from start to finish
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship, quality, and safety

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as a Boilermaker or Welder-Fabricator
• NZQA Level 4 Trade Certificate or overseas equivalent (preferred)
• Strong plate fabrication and welding experience
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Own tools and reliable transport
• Two work references
• Strong commitment to health & safety
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
