About the Role:As a Qualified Arborist, you’ll be responsible for managing and maintaining trees in residential, commercial, and public spaces. You will apply your expert knowledge to carry out tree pruning, removals, plant health care, and tree risk assessments, ensuring that our clients’ trees thrive in a safe and healthy environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Tree Care & Maintenance: Prune, trim, and maintain trees for health, aesthetics, and safety.
- Tree Removal: Safely and efficiently remove trees when necessary, following best practices.
- Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough tree risk assessments and provide advice to clients on tree care.
- Equipment Use: Operate chainsaws, stump grinders, and other arborist equipment in a safe and efficient manner.
- Customer Service: Provide expert advice and exceptional service to clients, ensuring their needs are met with professionalism.
- Qualification: New Zealand Certificate in Arboriculture (Level 4) or equivalent.
- Experience: At least 2 years of hands-on experience in arboriculture.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of tree biology, health, pest and disease management, and risk assessment.
- Skills: Competence in the safe operation of arborist tools and equipment, including chainsaws, chippers, and ropes.
- Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and as part of a team with a strong commitment to safety.
- Communication: Excellent communication skills and a customer-centric approach.
