Welder

Welder/Fabricator 

We are looking for an experienced Welder Fabricator to join our client's team in Hamilton Lake. This is a hands-on role offering a mix of workshop and site-based work, working on a variety of structural steel and fabrication projects.

Location: Hamilton Lake, Hamilton
Start date: Immediate start
Pay rate: $28–$34 per hour + weekly pay

What you'll be doing

• Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and fabrication plans
• Measure, cut, shape, and assemble steel, stainless steel, and aluminium components
• Perform MIG, TIG, and Arc welding to a high standard
• Fabricate and repair structural steel, machinery parts, and custom metal products
• Operate fabrication equipment including guillotines, press brakes, drills, grinders, and cutting tools
• Ensure all welds meet quality and safety standards
• Conduct quality checks and inspections on completed work
• Carry out fitting, assembly, and installation of fabricated components
• Assist with site installations, maintenance, and repair work when required
• Troubleshoot fabrication and welding issues and recommend practical solutions
• Maintain workshop tools and equipment
• Keep work areas clean, organised, and safe
• Work independently and as part of a team to meet project deadlines

What we're looking for

• Proven welding and fabrication experience
• Strong MIG, TIG, and Arc welding skills
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication plans
• Experience working with structural steel and general fabrication projects
• Full Class 1 driver's licence
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Ability to follow health and safety procedures
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
