Welder/Fabricator
Are you a skilled Welder/Fabricator with strong MIG welding experience and a solid fabrication background?
We're looking for motivated tradespeople to join busy Hawke's Bay workshops and fabrication teams, working on a variety of projects with reputable local employers.
Location: Hastings, Hawke's Bay
Start date: Immediate start
Pay rate: $30–$40 per hour, paid weekly

What you'll be doing
- MIG welding across a range of fabrication projects
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
- Fabricating, assembling, and modifying steel components
- Working with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
- Using workshop machinery and fabrication equipment safely
- Maintaining high-quality workmanship and production standards
- Following site and workshop health and safety procedures
- Minimum 3 years of welding and fabrication experience
- Strong MIG welding skills and proven workshop experience
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Experience with light and heavy fabrication work
- Stainless steel fabrication experience is advantageous
- Trade qualification preferred but not essential
- Own tools and reliable transport
- Two recent work references
- Strong commitment to health and safety
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Weekly pay and competitive rates based on experience
