Stores Person – Hamilton

We are looking for an experienced and competent Stores Person to join a well-established manufacturing operation in Hamilton.

This is a hands-on role within a busy manufacturing environment handling a range of steel and stainless-steel products. We're looking for someone who knows their way around a warehouse or stores operation, can keep stock organised and isn't afraid to get stuck in.
What you'll be doing

• Picking and preparing customer orders
• Receiving and checking incoming goods
• Loading and unloading trucks
• Moving and storing steel products safely
• Forklift operation
• Stock control and inventory management
• Checking orders and completing paperwork
• Preparing goods for dispatch
• Keeping the stores and yard organised and tidy
• Working closely with production and dispatch teams
• Following site health and safety procedures

What we're looking for

• Previous stores, warehousing or dispatch experience
• Current OSH Forklift Certificate
• F Endorsement would be an advantage
• Confident and competent forklift operator
• Good attention to detail and stock accuracy
• Physically fit and comfortable with a hands-on role
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Confident using computers and stock/inventory systems
• Full driver's licence preferred
