What you'll be doing
- Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
- Cut, bend, and fix reinforcing steel and mesh
- Tie steel securely using hand and power tools
- Work closely with site supervisors and other trades on site
- Maintain a safe and tidy work environment
- Ensure work is completed to specification and project deadlines
- Proven experience as a Steel Fixer
- Strong knowledge of reinforcing steel and mesh installation
- Ability to read plans and work to deadlines
- Good physical fitness and attention to detail
- Strong commitment to health and safety
- Reliable transport
- Ability to work well within a team environment
