About the Role

As a Shotcrete Sprayer Operator, you will play a critical role in maintaining underground stability and supporting the safe advancement of mining operations through the application of shotcrete ground support systems.
Working closely with Geotechnical, Technical Services and Underground Mining teams, you will help ensure underground development and production areas are supported safely and efficiently in accordance with engineering and operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate underground shotcrete spraying equipment safely and efficiently

• Apply shotcrete to underground development and production areas in accordance with engineering specifications

• Inspect work areas and identify potential ground support hazards

• Conduct pre-start inspections and routine equipment checks

• Monitor shotcrete quality, thickness and application standards

• Assist with equipment maintenance and basic troubleshooting

• Ensure compliance with underground ground support plans and site procedures

• Maintain accurate operational and production records

• Work collaboratively with Geotechnical, Technical Services and Underground Mining teams

• Promote and maintain a positive safety culture across the operation

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous experience as a Shotcrete Sprayer Operator within an underground hard rock mining environment

• Demonstrated knowledge of underground ground support systems

• Experience operating Normet, Epiroc or similar underground shotcrete equipment

• Current Driver Licence

• Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental performance

• Ability to read and interpret mine plans and ground support instructions

• Excellent communication and teamwork skills

• A proactive attitude and commitment to operational excellence

Desirable

• Experience within underground gold or metalliferous mining operations

• Current First Aid Certificate

• Additional underground mining qualifications and certifications
