🌲 Sawmill Forklift Operator – South Waikato 🌲
Tradestaff Rotorua is looking for an experienced Sawmill Forklift Operator to join a well-established sawmill operation in the South Waikato.
This is a great opportunity for someone who already has solid experience working within the sawmill or timber industry and is looking for a role where they can put their forklift skills to good use while continuing to develop their experience.
About the role:
You’ll be working in a busy sawmill environment, operating a forklift to move, stack and organise timber and materials around the site. You’ll need to be confident working around machinery, production teams and moving equipment while maintaining a strong focus on safety.
The successful applicant will need to be open to working night shift and comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
What we’re looking for:

• Previous sawmill experience is essential
• Strong forklift operating experience
• Current forklift licence/endorsement preferred
• Experience handling and stacking timber
• Comfortable working around heavy machinery
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety
• Physically fit and able to handle the demands of the role
• Reliable with a strong work ethic
• Able to work well independently and as part of a team
• Flexible and open to night shift work
• Own reliable transport
