Tradestaff Tauranga is currently looking for an experienced Roading Electrician / Linesman to join a specific roading project in the Tauranga area.
This is a genuine opportunity for someone with the right experience to step into a role working on road lighting, traffic lights and electrical work within roading environments. We’re looking for one person with the correct qualifications and hands-on experience - this isn’t a general labouring or entry-level position.
Location: Tauranga, Bay of Plenty
Start date: Immediate start
Pay rate: Competitive, based on experience

The role
You’ll be working on roading projects carrying out electrical work associated with street lighting and traffic light systems. The right person will have previous experience working in this environment and be confident working safely around active roading sites.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Electrical work on road lighting and traffic light systems
- Installation, maintenance and fault finding
- Working with electrical infrastructure associated with roading projects
- Working safely around live traffic and active work sites
- Following project specifications and site safety requirements
- Working alongside the wider roading and electrical team
- Proven experience as an electrician/linesman within the roading industry
- Experience working on road lighting and/or traffic light systems is essential
- The correct current electrical qualifications/licences for the work are essential
- Strong practical electrical skills and the ability to work independently
- Good understanding of roading site safety requirements
- Reliable, professional and able to get stuck in
- Full NZ work rights
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Specific role with an established roading project
