Production Operative

We are currently seeking an experienced Production Operative for an immediate start based near Hamilton Airport. This is a hands-on role working night shift hours within a busy production environment.

Location: Hamilton Airport, Hamilton
Start date: Immediate start
Pay rate: $27 per hour + time and a half overtime | 45-50 hours

What you’ll be doing:

• Operating and monitoring production machinery and equipment
• Assembling, packing, labelling, and preparing products for dispatch
• Carrying out quality checks to ensure products meet company standards
• Following health and safety procedures at all times
• Maintaining a clean and organised work environment
• Loading and unloading materials and finished products
• Reporting faults, breakdowns, or safety concerns to supervisors
• Meeting daily production targets and deadlines
• Assisting with stock control and inventory checks when required
• Working collaboratively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth production operations

What we’re looking for:

• Valid right to work in New Zealand
• Clean Ministry of Justice record
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
• Reliable transport to and from work
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling
• Flexibility to work night shift hours (3pm – 2am)
• Previous production or manufacturing experience
• Forklift licence is a big advantage
