About the Role
As a Production Charge Up Operator, you'll be responsible for safely preparing and charging production blast holes to support underground production activities.
You'll work closely with Production Drillers, Shift Supervisors and Technical Services to ensure charging and blasting activities are completed safely, accurately and to schedule.

Key Responsibilities

• Charge production blast holes using approved explosives and initiation systems

• Safely handle and load underground explosives

• Read and follow blast designs and charging plans

• Operate underground charging equipment

• Complete pre-start inspections and equipment checks

• Identify and report ground conditions and safety hazards

• Complete blasting documentation and operational records

• Work closely with production drilling and underground crews

• Follow all explosives handling, storage and site procedures

• Maintain high standards of safety and productivity

About You
We're looking for experienced underground operators who bring:

• Proven Production Charge Up experience in underground hard rock mining

• Experience handling and loading underground explosives

• Strong understanding of production blasting and charging practices

• Experience operating Normet Charmec or similar charging equipment

• Current Driver Licence

• Strong commitment to health and safety

• Ability to work effectively as part of an underground mining crew

Desirable

• Underground gold or metalliferous mining experience

• Current Shotfirer's Licence or equivalent explosives certification

• Experience with electronic initiation systems

• Current First Aid Certificate

• Additional underground mining tickets or qualifications
