Plumbing Trade Assistant

We’re looking for a motivated Plumbing Trade Assistant to join a busy team working across Drury and Bombay. This is a hands-on role assisting qualified plumbers on civil and drainage projects, providing support on site and gaining valuable practical experience.

Location: Drury / Bombay, South Auckland
Start date: Immediate
Pay rate: $28–$30 per hour (weekly pay, depending on experience)

What you’ll be doing:

• Assisting plumbers with laying and connecting pipes
• Preparing and maintaining work sites, excavating trenches, and installing manholes and fittings
• Supporting drainage construction activities in accordance with plans and specifications
• Clearing sites and ensuring work areas are safe and tidy
• General assistance to the plumbing crew as required

What we’re looking for:

• Previous experience assisting plumbers or working on civil/drainage projects (advantageous)
• Physically fit and able to work outdoors
• Reliable, safety-conscious, and team-oriented
• Willingness to learn and develop plumbing skills on the job
• Own transport preferred
