What You'll Be Doing
Working alongside a range of commercial and residential clients, your duties may include:
- Reading and interpreting plans, drawings and specifications
- Installing, maintaining and repairing hot and cold water systems
- Installing sanitary plumbing and drainage systems
- Installing plumbing fixtures, fittings and appliances
- Carrying out maintenance, repairs and fault finding
- Commercial and residential new build and renovation work
- Working safely and efficiently on client sites
- Depending on your New Zealand registration status, assisting qualified plumbers and undertaking related plumbing support and trade labouring duties appropriate to your level of experience
What We're Looking For
To be successful, you will ideally have:
- A recognised plumbing trade qualification or equivalent overseas qualification
- At least 3 years' relevant plumbing experience
- Either:
- Current New Zealand registration with the Plumbers, Gasfitters and Drainlayers Board (PGDB); or
- Evidence that you meet, or are able to meet, the requirements to obtain New Zealand registration
- Your own tools and reliable transport
- A strong commitment to Health & Safety
- Two recent work references
- The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen
