Brush Hand / Painter – Hawke’s Bay
Tradestaff Hawke’s Bay is looking for experienced Brush Hands and Painters to join busy crews working across a range of commercial and residential projects.
You’ll be involved in everything from new builds through to renovation and refurbishment work, so we’re after people who know their way around a paintbrush, take pride in a tidy finish, and can keep up on a busy site.

Tradestaff Hawke’s Bay is looking for experienced Brush Hands and Painters to join busy crews working across a range of commercial and residential projects.
You’ll be involved in everything from new builds through to renovation and refurbishment work, so we’re after people who know their way around a paintbrush, take pride in a tidy finish, and can keep up on a busy site.
What you’ll be doing:
- Interior and exterior painting
- Commercial and residential projects
- New build painting and finishing work
- Renovations and refurbishment projects
- Surface preparation, sanding, filling and masking
- Brush and roller application
- Cutting in and finishing work
- Applying primers, undercoats and top coats
- Keeping work areas clean, tidy and safe
- Working alongside painters, builders and other trades
- Previous painting or brush hand experience
- Commercial and/or residential painting experience
- Experience across new builds and renovations
- Confident with preparation, brush and roller work
- Good attention to detail and pride in your finish
- Reliable with a solid work ethic
- Able to work independently and as part of a crew
- Reliable transport to get yourself to work
- Able to pass a pre-employment drug test
- Clean Ministry of Justice check
- Weekly pay – no waiting around for your wages
