Tradestaff is recruiting experienced Fabricator Welders nationwide for a variety of exciting projects across New Zealand.

We’re looking for adaptable tradespeople who can step into a range of workshop and site-based roles, working on everything from structural steel and heavy fabrication through to light fabrication and general welding projects.

About the Role This is a fantastic opportunity to join a trusted New Zealand company with ongoing work.

You’ll be working on a variety of fabrication and welding jobs, using your skills across different materials, techniques, and project types.

In this role, you may be involved in:

• Fabrication and welding across a wide range of projects
• Reading and interpreting plans, blueprints, and technical drawings
• MIG, TIG, and ARC welding to a high standard
• Light and heavy fabrication work
• Cutting, shaping, bending, assembling, and fitting components
• Joining and installing parts using welding, bolting, or riveting
• Maintaining strong quality standards and following all health and safety procedures

What We’re Looking For We’re keen to hear from welders/fabricators who bring solid practical experience, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to doing the job right.

To be successful, you will ideally have:

• At least 3 years’ experience in welding and fabrication
• Good all-round experience with MIG, TIG, and ARC welding
• Experience in both light and heavy fabrication
• Experience working with mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium
• The ability to read and work from drawings confidently
• A trade qualification is preferred, but strong practical experience is also valued
• Your own tools
• Reliable transport
• Two recent work references
• A strong commitment to health and safety
• The ability to pass a pre-employment drug test
