Machine Operator
We’re looking for an experienced Machine Operator to join a busy crew in Queenstown. You’ll be operating machinery across a variety of projects while working closely with ground crews to keep the job moving safely and efficiently.

Location: Queenstown
Start date: Immediate
Pay rate: $30–$38 per hour depending on experience

What you’ll be doing:

• Operating machinery safely and efficiently
• Carrying out excavation, loading and general earthworks
• Completing trenching, backfilling and site preparation where required
• Working around ground crews and other machinery
• Following site plans, levels and supervisor instructions
• Completing pre-start and daily machinery checks
• Identifying and reporting maintenance or safety issues
• Maintaining good awareness of people and hazards around the machine
• Assisting with general site duties when required
• Following all site health and safety procedures

What we’re looking for:

• Previous machine operating experience
• Current WTR endorsements
• Full NZ driver licence
• Experience operating excavators, loaders or similar machinery
• Confidence working on busy construction and civil sites
• Good understanding of earthworks and site procedures
• Strong health and safety awareness
• Reliable, punctual and able to work as part of a crew
• Good communication skills
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
