Loader Operator
Tradestaff is looking for an experienced Loader Operator to work in a busy quarry operation in Rolleston. This is a hands-on role for someone confident operating heavy machinery who can keep materials moving efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on site safety.
Location: Rolleston, Christchurch
Start date: Immediate start
Pay rate: $30–$34 per hour + weekly pay

Tradestaff is looking for an experienced Loader Operator to work in a busy quarry operation in Rolleston. This is a hands-on role for someone confident operating heavy machinery who can keep materials moving efficiently while maintaining a strong focus on site safety.
Location: Rolleston, Christchurch
Start date: Immediate start
Pay rate: $30–$34 per hour + weekly pay
What You'll Be Doing
- Operate a wheel loader safely and efficiently within the quarry
- Load trucks with aggregate and other quarry materials
- Move, stockpile, and manage materials around the site
- Complete daily pre-start checks and report equipment issues
- Maintain safe and tidy loading and operating areas
- Work around mobile plant, trucks, and other heavy machinery
- Follow quarry procedures and site safety requirements at all times
- Current WTR endorsement is essential
- Previous loader or quarry experience is strongly desired
- Confident operating heavy machinery in an active work environment
- Strong awareness of site hazards and safe operating procedures
- Reliable, practical, and able to work effectively with the wider quarry team
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding outdoor environment
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test
- Potential for a long-term job opportunity
- Work alongside an experienced quarry crew
- Opportunity to build further heavy machinery operating experience
- Hands-on role with an established quarry operation
