We’re looking for an experienced Foreman to lead a skilled workshop team delivering high-quality custom joinery and cabinetry across both residential and commercial projects.
Our client is a small, close-knit team of 5–10 joiners and cabinetmakers who take real pride in their craftsmanship, teamwork, and attention to detail. Their workshop partners with AMI HomeHub Insurance for residential repairs and rebuilds, while also delivering commercial joinery solutions for leading construction companies.

The role: As the Workshop Foreman, you’ll oversee day-to-day workshop operations and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
Your responsibilities will include:
  • Leading and motivating a small team of joiners and cabinetmakers
  • Coordinating workflow and allocating daily tasks
  • Monitoring project progress and workshop productivity
  • Maintaining quality control across all projects
  • Ensuring health & safety compliance and paperwork completion
  • Liaising with clients and contractors when required
  • Mentoring apprentices and junior staff
  • Managing workshop materials, tools, and equipment
What we’re looking for:
  • Proven experience in joinery or cabinetry (5+ years preferred)
  • Previous leadership or foreman experience
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Experience using workshop machinery and tools confidently
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects
  • Strong communication and team leadership skills
  • Commitment to health & safety best practice
