$35-$40 Per Hour | Weekly Pay | Ongoing Opportunity

Are you an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic who enjoys working on trucks, trailers, and heavy transport equipment?
Tradestaff is recruiting for a busy South Auckland workshop with a strong pipeline of work. This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for keeping commercial fleets operating safely and efficiently through servicing, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs.

Pay Rate: $35-$40 per hour | Weekly pay

What You'll Be Doing
  • Diagnosing faults across diesel trucks and trailers
  • Servicing, maintaining, and repairing heavy vehicles
  • Working on engines, transmissions, braking systems, suspension, and steering components
  • Inspecting and repairing trailer systems including air brakes, axles, and lighting
  • Using diagnostic equipment and software to identify and resolve faults
  • Carrying out preventative maintenance to minimise downtime
  • Ensuring vehicles meet safety and compliance requirements
  • Completing service records and maintenance documentation accurately
What We're Looking For
  • Trade qualification in Diesel Mechanics, Heavy Automotive Engineering, or similar
  • Proven experience working on trucks and trailers
  • Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
  • Experience with diesel engines, hydraulics, and heavy vehicle systems
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
  • Class 2 licence advantageous
  • WoF or CoF certification highly regarded
