Pay rate: $28–$32 per hour + weekly pay
What You'll Be Doing
- Assist qualified carpenters with day-to-day construction tasks
- Carry out framing, formwork, cladding, and fit-out work
- Measure, cut, and prepare building materials accurately
- Use hand and power tools safely and effectively
- Complete site preparation and material handling as required
- Work alongside other trades to keep projects progressing
- Maintain safe, organised, and tidy work areas
- Previous Hammerhand or hands-on construction experience
- Practical understanding of building methods and construction processes
- Confident using a range of hand and power tools
- Able to follow plans, measurements, and instructions accurately
- Full NZ driver licence and reliable transport
- Site Safe preferred or willingness to obtain it
- Physically fit, dependable, and comfortable working as part of a crew
- Long-term work opportunity with an established contractor
- Exposure to both commercial and residential construction
- Work alongside qualified and experienced tradespeople
- Opportunity to further develop your practical carpentry skills
- Variety of hands-on tasks across different stages of construction
- PPE provided where required
- Support from the Tradestaff team throughout your assignment
